How to apply

The following Postgraduate Programmes are available in the Institute for Biomedical Engineering:

  • PhD in Biomedical Engineering

  • Master’s of Engineering Science in Biomedical Engineering – Research

  • Master’s of Engineering Science in Biomedical Engineering – Structured (Not offered in 2021)

  • Diploma in Engineering Science (Not offered in 2021)

Prospective students must submit their applications to the above programmes using the application procedure of the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic (M&M) Engineering as given on the M&M website, but using the IBE Postgraduate Application Form available here. The application must include:

  • 1 An IBE Postgraduate Application form, completed and signed except for the project/research topic and supervision sections.
  • 2 An academic transcript, from undergraduate to most recent qualification, listing the courses/modules completed and the corresponding grades awarded, as well as qualifications completed.
